The competition for the 14th International Biennial of Art of Miniature was announced
Cultural Center Gornji Milanovac has announced a competition for participation in the 14th International Biennial of Miniature Art. The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for April 23, 2018. Deadline for submission of papers is November 20, 2017. The opening location is the Modern Gallery of the Cultural Center, and the setting will last at least two months.
The competition is open to all adults who are engaged in artistic activities and who accept the conditions of participation. Artists retain the complete freedom of choice of topics and techniques and can submit up to two works at a competition, exclusively in the same exhibition category.
Only original works, created in the last two years, which the selection committee will evaluate as works of high artistic and professional scope will be accepted for the exhibition.
The exhibition categories are: painting, graphics, sculpture, drawing, applied art, photography and intermedia.
Calendar of the event:
– The competition is open from September 25 to November 20, 2017.
– Selection of works: December 9 and 10, 2017.
– Jury of works: December 16 and 17, 2017 ..
– Deadline for return of rejected works on January 31, 2018.
– Opening ceremony of the exhibition: April 23, 2018.
– The exhibition will last from April 23 to July 20, 2018.
– Deadline for the return of works: December 31, 2018.

International Jury of the 14th International Biennial of Miniature Art:

In case of individual members of the jury being prevented, the Cultural Center, as organizer of the Biennial reserves the right to appoint another member of the International Jury for awards.
The Biennial Awards are: Gran pri (1,500 euros) and seven equal prizes in the ranking of the first prize (500 euro) in each exhibition category. Prizes do not have to be awarded in all exhibition categories. All the first works are included in the Biennial Collection (the prize money includes the repurchase of work).
According to the rules of the competition, for the works in two-dimensional technique the maximum allowed dimensions are 10 x 10 cm. The maximum outer dimensions, if there is a paspart or a ram, are 20 x 20 cm. For works in three dimensions, the maximum allowed size is 10x10x10 cm, with the flooring, the work must not exceed the size 20d20x20 cm.
Signed works, application form and confirmation of payment of participation (with name and surname of participants) shall be submitted no later than November 20, 2015 to the following address: International Biennial of Art of Miniature – Cultural Center, Kneza Mihaila Square 1, p. fah 92, 32300 Gornji Milanovac, Republic of Serbia.
All authors, except artists who exhibit at the invitation of the Artistic Council and artists from the municipality of Gornji Milanovac, pay for participation in the Biennale. Domestic authors pay the participation in the net amount of 1,500 dinars. For authors from foreign countries participating, upon registration, amounts (net) 40 euros or 40 dollars.
